Dominican Republic attends the Lumbini Conclave: "Peace and Prosperity in Nepal and Beyond”

Nepal - Mr. Gustavo Sosa, Minister Counsellor, represented our Mission at the Lumbini Conclave in Nepal held in March 2024 under the theme "Peace and Prosperity in Nepal and Beyond." The event, held over three days in the historic and spiritual city of Lumbini brought together both resident and non-resident diplomats for a deep exploration of Nepal's role in fostering peace and development in the region.

The conclave was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nepal in collaboration with the Honorary Consul Corps Nepal, reflecting the country's commitment to international dialogue and collaboration. The gathering was greeted by the Honourable Minister of Tourism of Nepal, who underscored the significance of Lumbini not only as the birthplace of Lord Buddha but also as a symbol of peace and harmony.

The Lumbini Conclave served as a platform for sharing ideas on how to harness the region's rich cultural heritage and spiritual legacy to promote lasting peace and prosperity. Throughout the program, participants engaged in a series of discussions, presentations, and cultural exchanges aimed at enhancing diplomatic relations and exploring avenues for sustainable development.
