Dean of Technological Institute of the Americas Explore Cooperation Opportunities in India
New Delhi – During his recent work visit to India, Rafael J. Féliz García, the Dean of the Technological Institute of the Americas (ITLA) held a series of high-level meetings aimed at exploring collaborative opportunities in the field of technology education. The visit underscored the importance of strengthening international ties and expanding academic cooperation between the Dominican Republic and India.
Mr. Féliz and his delegation engaged in discussions with key representatives from some of India’s most prestigious technology institutions, including the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi, the Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC) New Delhi, and the Delhi Technological University. The meetings centered on potential partnerships, academic exchanges, and joint research initiatives aimed at advancing technology education and innovation.
In addition to these academic discussions, the delegation from ITLA also met with Ambassador Viraj Singh, who oversees the ITEC (Indian Technical and Economic Cooperation) programme at the Ministry of External Affairs. The meeting focused on exploring avenues for collaboration in the context of India’s ongoing commitment to providing technical and capacity building support to countries in the global South.
