Ron Barceló executives visit New Delhi
New Delhi - From the 24th to the 27th of April 2022, high level executives of the Barceló rum company visited New Delhi with the objective of strengthening the position of their brand in the Indian market.
The delegation composed by Mr. Stijn Bracke, Barcelo's International Regional Development Director for Europe and Asia, and Mr. Francisco Capilla, Barcelo's International Development Manager for Europe and Asia, was received on 25th April 2022 by the Ambassador of the Dominican Republic in India, H.E. David Puig.
During the meeting they exchanged ideas on the brand strategy to increase the presence of Barceló products across the geography of India. They agreed to work together on promotion initiatives that can develop the visibility of Dominican rum in the main metropolitan areas of the country.
Mr. Stijn Bracke and Mr. Francisco Capilla also held meetings with the company official distributor in India. During these interactions they were accompanied by Mr. Carlos Gross, first secretary in charge of commerce and investments at the Dominican embassy in India.
Barceló products, such as Barceló Imperial and Barceló Gran Añejo, are available in the states of Haryana, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and in the country's capital city, Delhi.
Since its foundation in 1929, Barceló has established itself as a symbol of the finest products made in the Dominican Republic. According to the International Wine and Spirits Record (IWSR), it is today the most exported brand of its category. In 2016, it became the first rum to receive the Carbon Neutral certification, by quantifying, reducing and compensating emissions during the entire life cycle of its products.
